Radio frequency interference at the 1200 khz mark of the a. M. Band, caused by varying proximity to a laptop computer. Very active and obnoxious high-pitched static and squeals.

Dead air on an a. M. Radio station while lightning in the area "tickles" the frequency to create static peaks. Perhaps similar to the sounds of a radiation or metal detector.

I've scanned the radio frequencies with an old radio and recorded with my tascam dr-05 via the headphone jack. You can hear some weird looping patterns and sound fragments from random radio stations.

Giving a test of my new mono lapel mic i noticed some interference/static on the right channel - which is strange as it is mono. . . . This is a background hiss my cheap microphone records when i use my laptop. I recorded with audacity. This one has spikes of static noise every so often, sounding almost like faint voices. It's creepy in my opinion. It can also sound like water or a waterfall running in the background, or a beeping futuristic computer in a spaceship.
