Percussion made in blok modular. Kind of morphs around but plenty of bongos and some kind of shaker towards the end. You can maybe get a couple of claps out of the end part too. Sometimes sounds a little too fm-y (think sega genesis sounds) but others sound pretty organic imo.

Playing with quantussy cells in vcv-rack, creating generative music. I call in machine composition, but this time its done on a virtual modular. Hmmm no 100 should have been done on a real modular. . .

Snare sample one-shot. These snares were all made with virtual drum synths and processed through some analogue console emulation and added saturation. They were then trimmed to get rid of any dead space before or after the sample and finally normalized to 0db. This file is part of my anu snares pack.

Synth bagpipes with snare only. I made this for the backing track, at very low volume, for a video sound track. It's good enough for something like that. I don't know anything about pipes so don't freak out if play them. It's g at 100bpm in 6/8.

Remix of: 153583__sheepfilms__8-bit-beeping-computer-sounds. Extracted a mono 1 bar techno loop at 126 bpm. Great starter for a track, can hold focus in a break and then for 8-16 bars before it gets stale. Also sounds cool backwards :). Thanks to sheepfilms for keeping it zero.

Wrote/recorded a free dance tune at 120bpm using ableton live 9. The notes revolve around: c, g, d, e, dableton stock drum rack w/ stock samples for the percussion section. Mod amp sine bleep for the side toms. Ableton stock grand piano for piano. Muggy stock plugin for the synth-like parts w/ pitch bends in the midi. Synth1 vst64 for the long sustaining notes during the rhythm synth parts. Other notes about this recording:-14. 0 lufs integrated. -1. 4 db true peak max. 24-bit analog saw wave oscillators from the arturia microbrute. - ranges from c0-b6- recorded through a focusrite scarlett 2i4 into ableton without any additional processing- samples are recorded @ 120bpm and are 4 bars each (8 seconds). Enjoy.

I like to listen to static (often actually) and it actually shifts a lot through out the day. So i heard some cool ringy stuff. . & decided to sweep through the am band. . . And actually touching the screen of my cell made the static louder. Sounds like a synth.

Okay i have to find the cycles. The start of a cycle is where the oscillator play in (about) unison. One cycle begins at 1:22. 82. Does it end at 1:57. 35?i might create a track called "selfie in three cycles". . .

3 cell quantussy patch. One cell acts as "controller cell". When the controller cell starts a new cycle a noise is heard defining the start of one cycle and at the same time the ending of the previous. Here we have three short cycle.

A sound cue i designed with a euphoria synth pad from garageband on my macbook pro. Track used to underscore a powerful scene between 2 residential school survivors for the theatre production called 'nicimos: the last rez christmas story'. The play ran from nov. 24 to dec. 19, 2014.

This is a looping sound effect. Timing got screwy while making it so i dont have a bpm or even a time sig. Made it with an old yamaha synth and a mac. Makes me kind of nervlous when i lissen to it so it might work good whe you wanna confuze somebody or make them cautious.

I designed this sound from scratch using a 20 millisecond pop of audio looped and processed heavily using ableton live's sampler instrument. The loop is 2 bars long, but it this sample file i trail off for quite a few seconds sustaining the note to show off the sustain processing on the synth.
