I used bdx for the kick, sent through disto-fx and various eq plugins. Cymbalistic was used for the hihats, with further eq and gating placed on it. The snare was from a free sample pack (i can't remember the name of) sent through a resonator, eq plugins and some soft-clippers to give it a bigger sound. Clipmax was used on the master channel.

I changed the eq and speed on a file of an opening and closing a mini metal trashcan.

One loud, underwear-browning thunder clap at the beginning, followed by 30-40 minutes of thunder rolling away in the distance. It's effective as a sleep aid, but don't loop its playback because the initial thunder clap will tear you from your dreams. Available under a creative commons 0 licence.
