I used 2 low frequency operators (lfo) on a low pass filter (24db) on a generic pink noise sound with medium resonance settings, one of these lfo's was manipulating the other one with a random ramp, to make it sound more diverse and realistic. I put an aditional long envelope on the q (resonance) also, not to mention some chorus at a low tempo to make it kinda binaural with a stereo delay at a short time setting. . . I hope you enjoy it!.

A wind sound created with a white noise generator and a low pass filter on my console. I played with the cutoff frequency and a few eq peaks to vary the sound. Recorded at 44. 1k 16bit in stereo.

Generated 10 minutes of white noise, applied some eq and what i may call stereo expansion, and got this thing that should be good enough to be used as an ambient sound for cold weather or polar wind. Many of the sounds i have found here and elsewhere, have other noises and/or were created through other methods like blowing.

This was an attempt at the ice speed record by a rocket powered snow machine called the arctic arrow. The old record was 247 mph. On this run he goes 241mph but at the finish line he loses control and crashes quite dramatically! the driver, kurt anderson walked away. I have photos of the crash as well if interested. It was a very cold and windy day when i visited the mile high swinging bridge at the top of grandfather mountain. Unfortunately, i did not have a windscreen, so there is a bit of noise in the recording of the "singing" bridge. The reason i say "singing" is that the high winds were blowing through the 228-foot long suspension bridge bars making a haunting sort of song. It is considered the highest suspension footbridge in north america at just over a mile high.

Location: charlotte douglas international airporttime: april 2015. A strong storm hit charlotte, north carolina, and flights got delayed or canceled. The gates got crowded and people were restless. Lots of airline announcements, people talking on their cell phones, airport electric cart beeps, voices in english and a few words here and there in spanish, etc. Don't remember if this was recorded using the zoom h1 or h5 with the xyh-5 x/y microphone capsule.

An early 2015 recording of the ambience at new york sub hub, a sandwich restaurant just off the campus of the university of north texas in denton, texas. This restaurant is to be closed in the spring of 2021.

I believe this to be a weasel, but it could have been a river otter, asthe only part of the animal i saw was the snout down a dark hole. Theanimal was amidst the riprap at the end of our garden, and beingtormented by two neighbourhood dogs. I shooed the dogs away, but theanimal continued to shriek for some time.
