This is the sound of traffic on a busy street in a small town at a fork in the road. Recorded with a sony pcm-d100 in stereo.

Main street in tourist costal city of dziwnówek in west poland. It's typical for cities like that: full of cheesy market stands. The game of coin-football, which you can hear ringing constantly in the background is also characteristic for polish coastal tourist areas. Many people (talking mostly polish language), and several cars are passing by. I am standing on pavement, and have thestreet in front of me and backside of supermarket behind me. The sound was recorded with zoom h3vr (ambix format).

There's always that one loud person on the street who wants everyone to hear him, and i found him while walking across houston street, new york city. Includes street noise and loud siren. Also edited for a little loudness.

Recording of a passing car in hervanta, tampere, finland on a slightly windy afternoon (around 14-16 pm) while standing on a sidewalk. The purpose of the recording is project work for the course comp. Sgn. 120-2022-2023-1 introduction to audio processing. Recorded with a apple iphone se (2020 a2296 second gen) microphone with the sanelin/voice memos -app. Converted from m4a to wav using audacity.

This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. If anyone knows the reason please post it in the comments. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

You can hear sounds of me hitting my cane against concrete, some off-distance humming of cars or planes descending overhead, and me hitting metal objects (i forgot what they were) with my cane.
