Recorded a door closing at my school and then modified it in audacity to create a sort of sproing-ing sound. Use: when you need a boomerang sound that isn't really a boomerang but that's ok because it sounds like one.

Boomerang is a steel shuttle roller coaster located at bellewaerde in ypres, west flanders, flemish region, belgium. Although it wasn't the first vekoma boomerang to be built, it was the first to be opened due to technical issues with the other roller coaster. This spectacular roller coaster takes you to a height of 32 m, before launching you forward and backward, like a boomerang, at over 80 km/h. There is a lot of nonsense in this file. Some belgian teenagers are talking about their families, their teachers, to fall out of the coaster, banana, carrot. . . You can even hear some flemish words. Recorded inside the roller coaster with tascam dr-100mkii onboard microphones.

All my sounds were created for an upcoming motioncomic i created called: madagascar: alex's story. . . I did not create these from scratch, but instead, remixed stock sounds of different roars, growls, breathing, etc. And fiddled with their settings until i got a sound i felt satisfied with. I thought the best thing to do with them after the project was done is to share. So, no need to give me credit. The sound is a guitar drone. Effects used: light distortion > eq > pitch shifter/harmonizer on multi-effect > delay on a second multi-effect > more delay > vibrato > reverb. ) direct to soundcard, edited w/ compression and fading on the beginning/end to hide "loop clicks". Sound is a bit distorted in parts due to peaking from the reverb (i guess). . . Meant to imitate shoegaze-style guitar drones. . . If i had a proper amp it might sound better!.

Another "shoegazey" clip using guitar though many pedals (boss xtortion > danelectro eq > boss me-30 (no effects on, but working as a slight boost) > eh small stone > korg ax3g (on a pitch/harmonizer setting) > boss dd-20 > behringer ultra vibrato > alesis nanoverb > mixer > soundcard. ) it's kind of similar to the beginning of "souvlaki space station", but it is in no way an approximate recreation (or even the same notes, i'm sure) of it. I messed around with levels and soundcard settings and was able to get a much cleaner, less distorted recording (compared to the guitar drone sample uploaded previously. ).

I made this for my personal project.

I needed a very specific brand of lollipop with a chocolatey center for a short film i'm working on. None of my library crunch fx sounded right, so i chomped into one myself. Just call me mr. Owl. Recorded on an iphone, about an inch from my face. Just a single crunch edited to have a little extra tail. The effect came out as a satisfying crunch with decent low-mid range. Could be pitched down a bit to act as bones, or maybe a small to medium sized tree branch. I may record more of these after i visit the dentist next.
