These sounds were created from xpand!'s sitar sound font and musescore's clave sound font. They were used in an ambient track simulating the sounds of exploring an ancient egyptian tomb. This could be used as a transition, when discovering treasure or a secret passage, or any number of events that need an egyptian or middle-eastern flavor. While making an ambient track simulating a fortune teller's caravan, i designed 3 sounds in pro tools by layering and editing presets within ambience and soft pads. They add a bit of magical flare when the tarot card reader turns over a card. This sound can be used for any kind of transition, item acquisition, quest accomplished, or other quick sound effect which needs a light, magical quality. There are several cranks with no effect, one with it catching then dying, then another with it catching and running a few moments before sputtering out. I've decided to experiment with random frequencies slowly filling canvas and blending into a single timbre. For this piece they emerge with quite an amount of time and there is no distinct frequency to form a tone. This experimentation produces quite a hauinting sound consisting of small parts.
