A quartz crystal rod scraped against a steel cup-like object to create the sound of a crystal being inserted into a socket.

The sound has been taken from a man mining a rock. I then reproduced the same sound another couple of times, added effects to it and the result is like a group of people mining.

Inside the old copper mine of falun/sweden, ca. 60m below ground, during a public tour. The recorder is situated near a subterranean waterfall, the crowd of tourists visiting the mine can be heard in the distance.
