Morning san francisco commute: walk from nopa apartment past lone mountain to bus line 33 at arguello and balboa, bus ride to the mission district, walk through the mission to office building. City sounds, cars passing, birds chirping, bus stop, electric bus, ticket, electronic voice announcements. Iphone 6 using the voice memos app.

A dell dimension l600r being booted up and turned off. This will work nicely for those needing genuine sounds from an old computer. The mic was placed directly inside the computer's chassis with the side door closed. No noise-removal has been applied on this recording. Most of the sound in this recording comes from the maxtor hard drive, as well as the 3. 5 floppy drive, cpu fan, and psu fan. Also includes a post beep.

I recorded this while i was on the steps on the right side of the car, holding the recorder in one hand and my life in the other! tourists talking, the operator ringing the bells and using the brake levers, etc. Recorded with a tascam dr-70d, built in mics. Recorded on the san francisco side of alcatraz island, 08/25/2015. Recorder was placed on the railing on the back side of the yard above the staircase. A clear day, with plenty of water birds and gulls. Some tourists speaking various languages throughout. . . Some asking about the 'microphone'. This recording also catches the sf noon siren and a sea plane flying toward the end. My windjammer wasn't quite enough for the wind, so there's some rumble, but it can be cleaned up.
