A recording of the dawn chorus on an olympus ls-5 digital audio recorder. Recording made on a small camp site in arrochar argyll 01/05/13.

This recording was done early one morning in may 2012 in the middle of scotland. You can hear the usual sounds of the countryside at this time of year and day. The two front microphones were facing the river tay, the two back ones drummond hill. This is the sound those front ones captured. All of them microphones were audio technica at-3031 ones, connected to the rme quadmic preamp into an edirol r-44 recorder. To get a quadraphonic or surround sound you have to download both tracks (they are next to eachother on the list) and alter them the way you want. If you compare them, then it shows what a difference it makes where you point those microphones.

This recording was made as part of a class exercise, sound and acoustic sketching course. It was part of a sound walk starting in the meditation hut in my back garden down the back lane passing a electricity sub generator and playing children.

Just a very quick recording of a local alpaca. Whilst i was recording he repeatedly made this coo'ing type of noise and then scratched himself which made his throat stutter.

18th century scottish clock rings the half hour. This is such a sweet, unusual clock. Recorded with a schoeps stereo xy pair to fostex pd-6.
