Ambisonic test recording made with a sennheiser ambeo mic into a sound devices mixpre 6 ii. Recorded in 32bit float. Mic position was 'endfire'. Not too much action but it gives a good idea of how a quiet ambiences sound in ambisonic. You will need the sennheiser ambeo plugin in order to convert this recording into b-format.

Birds recorded from about 0430 in the morning. They include geese and gulls. This was a windy day. Some of the wind noise has been reduced, but it can clearly be heard. A pair of lom usi microphones were placed in a tree and attached to an olympus ls-14. Edited with ardour.

Rainfall recorded from inside a hunting blind with a tin roof.

Large river rapids running strongly after winter rain. Recorded approximately fifty feet above water level. The river flows and turns through a narrow, high, partly exposed bedrock canyon which likely amplifies the sound of the rapids. The first nine seconds are unedited. The last two seconds have a fade out applied. In summer you can walk where the centre channel is in winter, so this is a lot of water moving swiftly down the cowichan river to the salish sea. A stark soundscape of the icy wind swooshing through dry oak leaves on the edge of a midwestern lake. Plus, as an added bonus, from out of nowhere two fast-moving canada geese come storming through at only about 25 feet from where i was standing!. I was very lucky because they are so close that at some point during this recording, you can actually hear the sound of the wind being pummeled by the beating of the geese's very large, strong wings. Equipment: sound devices mixpre-6 and sennheiser mkh 416 inside a blimp. Recorded on monday december 28 2020 around 1:30 in the afternoon. Outside temp was 37 degrees and the wind was blowing steady at 10 to 15 miles an hour.

Big storm hit my house, and i recorded it from just behind a window. Recorded in stereo at 24 bit with a sony pcm m-10 with furry windshield. All my sounds are dedicated to the public domain, and are free to use, no restrictions. Although i really appreciate a message or comment if you use my sound for something interesting. Always fun to hear where my recordings end up :).
