Like a stroll in winter, i wanted to transcribe a festive reality with the resumption of a christmas song with the tones and the imitation of fireworks.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. This is a short "steady rain", recorded at the beautiful island fehmarn in germany in summer. Sometimes i find soothing sitting inside and listen to a nice recording of a steady rain :).

I've been meaning to try and capture that magical, melancholy feeling of the late summer and early fall of the midwest woods. This was recorded in the shawnee forest in southern illinois on saturday september 28th, 2019. Equipment used: zoom f4microphones: lom usi pro omnissennheiser mkh 416sennheiser me66.
