This is my first attempt at a locking growl of the sidewinder missile, made by modifying dtmf tones, slowing the speed way down and raising the pitch. Made with audacity for creative commons distribution 0 license as per request by why485.

Made by generating a sawtooth tone and increasing the speed by 5 times, altering the pitch as well, slow it down (change pitch in unity's audio source) to get something resembling the distinct sound of a sidewinder locking growl. As per request of why485. Cc0 license.

I needed a sound for an animation where a character was being shot out of a jet engine. I thought i share what i came up with.

A short alarm followed by a beep, which sounds like a missile locking system being used. To create this effect i sped up and changed the pitch of an alarm clock, and followed it by a beep from a tone generator, which created my desired effect. I was playing around trying to create a different sound when i accidentally created this sound which reminded me of a rocket flying by. I thought it might be useful and uploaded it.
