This is a simple shot sound i made using audacity.

This is from a recording session trying to create laser weapon sounds. I just used the same technique as ben burtt used in wall-e (with the slinky and the contact mic). This is unprocessed, no eqs, compression, reverb or anything was added. I used a long piece of curled up aluminum wire which i hung from a tall structure at my house and the main object i used to oscillate the wire was a drum stick. For the recording i used the blue icicle and recorded into reaper. The contact mic is my own creation from a diy i found online (roughly €5 to make). Mascletà (rythmical composition of firecrackers blasts typical of valencia) recorded at 1000m distance from a roof-top terrace. The firecrackers blasts create a war-like ambience, with the sounds of the city mixed with the distant shots. Recorded with head-worn binaural soundman okm microphones. I've been recording some sounds for a an upcoming project which led me to recording the underside of the lid of a salad spinner and dangling a small plastic tab on it as it spun. It wasn't my intention but it sounds a bit like an old film projector. You can get some interesting results with this clip by messing a bit with the eq which is what i'll be doing for the finished project. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Heavily processed, strong-punching tr-808 snare drum.

Just a mixture of multiple samples i created over time. Layering a swish noise which was basically a white noise sample with an eq envelope, lowpassed snare, and a not-so-highpassed clap, compressed and saturated. Enjoy!.
