This is a field recording of a late night ambience in a suburban area in india. A variety of insects, predominantly crickets can be heard along with distant dogs and traffic. This high resolution clip has been cleaned to eliminate lf hum and other intermittent loud noises.

Inspired by recent makenoise cicada series. Added clouds to an o-ctrl (fast) sequenced mimeophon output and sending partly back though feedback loop. X-pan did the rest using ochd as the lfo mod. Source for panning and fade in/out.

I recorded this sound at the nagarhole tiger reserve in karnataka, india. The sound is recorded on my iphone 12 pro using the dolby on app. There are unfortunately some minor unwanted sounds in the recording caused by things like someone moving in their seat. But it’s a nice ambient recording to use if you are able to edit around it. The recording was done at 7:30am.

We were staying at an eco hostel outside of foz do iguaçu in southern brazil, and i had a moment to go over to the edge of the forest and record the sounds of the animals on my phone. You can hear a faint wind overhead. It was a peaceful afternoon.

Late august here in the midwest is the time for the loud choruses of insects. This recording, done in the backyard of a small town, features the classic"ebb and flow and swell" of the dusk insects. Since a park is nearby, you also hear in the background the excited voices of kids playing---maybe these youngsters do realize that soon they will be back in school and that the joyous, careful time of summer play and reflection will soon be over. Over 6 hours of night ambient shot in the countryside near a house close to the main road. Rain hitting the vines, thunders, village sounds, crickets, occasional cars passing on the road, far thunders with no rain, dogs barking, roosters, all in one unedited take.
