Here is a recording i took of a train passing by my apartment. I used it for an electroacoustic composition and got some really rich and dynamic motifs from it. Enjoy!.
Crossing bell and diesel locomotive. Locomotive goes from stop to a slow start with crossing bell. Recorded in dillsboro, nc. Part of the smoky mountain railway.
Recording of a diesel loc, part of a maintenance train, returning to depot at about 1am. Recorded from my bathroom window in cardiff east. Repetive sound, thythmic in nature but with a clear pitch. Occasional white noise from airbrakes. Recorded with zoom h2n, 44. 1/24.
Car approaching from the distance on the left gets louder as it approaches with a squealing engine belt. It moves to the right and sound level diminishes.
