Artificial waterfall sound created using audacity. I created two brownian noise tracks and assigned one to the left channel and one to the right for a stereo effect. Using brownian noise means less high frequency noise that is harsh on the ears.

This is a sequence of bass notes created using vst instrument alchemy on preset dancetrance/ leads/ higher states. Run through ohm boys lfo delay and sequenced at 102bpm at a#3. Works well with my 'break away 102' breaks. The best way to loop this is to take the last two breaks of the sequence and loop those as the effects roll nicely into each other. I've left the ending part in if you want to let it fade out smoothly into your sequence as the bassline ends.

This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. Device: zoom h5 (x-y stereo input)48khz 16-bit. I locked my cat outside and he's begging me to open the door. Rarely can i manage to record the sound from a cat in such strong emotion, so i rolled the recorder for 1 minute with guilt. I gave my cat a fish can afterward, so don't feel sorry when you use the sound.
