Beginning, part ii, of an arrangement of afro blue using a 5/4 time signature --- same piano track as "afro blue five 003", but with a newer bassline. Piano (roland xv5080 + studiologic sl73 controller), bass (sadowsky 5 string), bongos (toca percussion). Recorded to sd card using a zoom r16 digital 8-track (44. 1khz, 16 bit wav format). Mixed using goldwave.

Here's some more of that young couple next door. They did a quick one, about 10 minutes or less. Sounds like they enjoyed it. Got some good loud sounds of the woman. There's a bit of the man too but hard to hear. The sex parts are from 1:45-4:40, 2:30 is when the woman starts to make loud moans. This was edit and shorten with audacity.

The man doesn't snore, but there really isn't all that much difference. A big chest has big lungs and they take a while to fill. On exhale just a small portion of each breath has a bit of expressive voice. Who knows why? to be fair, it isn't always present when he sleeps. Just often. An older classic movie called legends of the fall features a sleeping grizzly. This reminds me of that.

In an antique store in laconner, washington i saw a old black desk rotary dial telephone. I dialed the numbers 1 through 0 and recorded them on my cell phone. The 13-year periodical cicadas in the midwest. In this recording i was lucky enough to have some forest birds also sing throughout the steady drone. Recording made with marantz pmd661 (**with beefed up and extra quiet pre-amplifiers by oade brothers electronics), running samson co-2 matched true stereo microphones. My original recording was made at the highest bit rate allowable on my machine -- 98khz.

I was playing around trying to create a different sound when i accidentally created this sound which reminded me of a rocket flying by. I thought it might be useful and uploaded it. I kept it a bit longer so you can edit it into a loop or fade it out to make it seem the rocket flies away =). Made with fl studio with the free firebird vst plugin.

A collection of sounds of a magazine flipping through its pages and a heavy book slamming shut. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Attribution appreciated but not required.

I took this sample from a phone message. I did use a live feed,(from the headset output on my phone, through a cable into my digital recorder. ) but it is very soft. When i tried recording with out the live feed, i couldn't even find the noise again. It could definitely use to be amped up a bit.

Calm meadow, south of france, end of the summer, 6 min. Insects, many flies, some grasshooper, different birs including pheasant (2. 03). A robin is arriving during the recording (3. 10) and stays very next to us, on the right hand side, sometimes flitting. 2009. Recorded with schoeps ab ortfrecorded on soundddevice 744twave stereo, 16 bits, 48khz.

I think this sounds a bit like a jazz age theme reflecting a journey by steam ship. It was bolted together from little loopable sections (also uploaded separately here) which were all created using edirol orchestral samples and the magic of arpeggiating programs. Feel free to use this for anything you like without crediting me, or assemble your own tune out of the individual sections.

Ambisonic test recording made with a sennheiser ambeo mic into a sound devices mixpre 6 ii. Recorded in 32bit float. Mic position was 'endfire'. Not too much action but it gives a good idea of how a quiet ambience sounds in ambisonic. You will need the sennheiser ambeo plugin in order to convert this recording into b-format.

I've spotted two skaters on a pavement and i decided to spend my last few free megabytes on the sounds they were making. The skaters were rolling on a hard pavement made of small square panels. Recorded with rare pair of xy mics of zoom h2 (hand-held) @ 96khz/24-bit. Unprocessed and unedited recording. Converted to flac with audacity.

After many months- and a trip to san clemente, ca and back- my qu-bit nebulae v1 is working! this is a snippet from qu-bit’s own double bass sample, run through a mimeophon and qu-bit’s own fdn reverb, with lashings of modulation wherever possible. My wonder at the sheer madness of the sonic experience here is only matched by my joy at having a working granular processor at last.

Strong wind (thanks to the mountain), but it was recorded on the other side of a house and it wasn't that strong in that moment. There are snorts, sorry (i haven't zeppeling). Another very old production, i think this one's from around 2009 even!. Using the reverb of a chord i made on my guitar i created a drone-y, washed out sound. Added some subtle bitcrushed drums, cymbals and a vst synthesizer plays some notes to fill it out a bit, and a dark brooding bass-like instrument pulls up near the end of the track.

It's a recording of wooden door in an old village house getting closed rapidly. There is some overhead silence in this recording to allow making a smooth transision for this sample (fade-in and fade-out), because there is some background noise and little sound of me moving around.
