I produced this strangely satisfying sound by dropping a watermelon-shaped canning tomato into a dishpan full of water. Have to get that just about right to get this result. For my purposes i needed to repeat it, but you can do that. It's unlikely that two objects tossed into liquid will sound exactly the same, but it's possible to modify one of the two "ploops" by changing amplification, pitch and even to shorten the waveform to make them sound different. I have connected the vco straight to the vcf and the vcf to mixer. In the beginning i have the frequency pot at 2 a clock then i gradually move it clock wise and let the vcad take control. 1 minute in the pot is fully clock wise. The vco is playing a sawtooth wave. If you dl and inspect the wave you can see that in the beginning and the end it is a sawtooth wave, but in the middle part the filter affects the wave form.

A field recording i made in bruges, december 2013. While i was walking around the chapel at the béguinage, a nun started singing and practising the organ. It sounded beautiful but also quite spooky and ethereal. I'm afraid it's not the best quality as i had to improvise with the voice memo feature on my iphone. A pluck on a jew's harp. Recorded late at night in my bedroom on a samsung mp3 player. I enhanced it to the best of my abilities in audacity since the original recording had a low bitrate (64kbps mp3), the volume was low and it had a lot of static noise. Unfortunately the recording have a lot less warmth to it than the instrument has in reality. I am not sure of the tone of the harp but i believe it is a c, if it is not please let me know. 1 of 15.

This is a great recording from my digital police scanner of the atf and u. S. Marshal's doing a short, but detailed road surveillance here in houston. The atf starts out talking about a place to meet, then they follow the target suspects vehicle. Once they lose sight of the vehicle, they decide to let the marshal's signal device, planted on the vehicle, track it the rest of the way. This is a fine example of the new p25 digital (some encryption used) radio system that many federal and local law enforcement departments are starting to use. Enjoy!.

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear. This is a recording of the scariest/weirdest computer crash i ever experienced. I was working in after affects when the screen froze and this sound started blaring through my headphones. I unplugged myself and let it play through the speakers then decided it was really neat sounding, so i took a mic and recorded it. I made the recording in the town of denholm in scotland. In the recording you can hear fireworks, firecrackers. You can also hear the sounds of conversations in the crowd, screams of children, the sounds of a burning fire. On november 5 this year people across the uk light bonfires, let off fireworks, and burn effigies of a man named guy fawkes. The reason we do this is because it’s the anniversary of the gunpowder plot (1605); a failed attempt to blow up the houses of parliament in london by a group of dissident catholics.

This is a recording of all in-flight announcements from a flight attendant, the first officer and captain during a flight from atlanta to new york on august 17, 2018, recorded directly from the headphone jack at my seat with a zoom h1n. Each clip is separated by a few seconds of silence. For authenticity, i left all the dc voltage spikes and electronic noise in place. This may be useful if you want an authentic announcement without the acoustics, i. E. Use your own speaker sims or impulse responses to fit into an existing sound design environment. I never did figure out why the first officer said "hello. . . Are you back there? hello? hello?" but it has been captured anyway.

Test of how uoki-toki polivoks vcf handles sin-wave (ca 270hz) when the filter is self-oscillating. I bring the uoki-toki polivoks vcf to self-oscillation and tune the vcf to ca 270hz too. The vco is also tuned to 270hz. In this test i connect the same lfo to cv1 on the vcf and 1v/oct on the module i use as vco (intellijel μvcf). I let the lfo run. Cv1 on vcf pot at 100%. They are playing together. The vco is connected to the in on the vcf. Confused explanation. . . But at least not in swedish.

This was recorded inside the blue mosque in istanbul during friday prayer in may 2005. To get in to the blue mosque with recording equipment we had to get a permission from the religious authorities. We also needed a muslim to operate the equipment since the friday prayers were forbidden for non-muslims. We set up the recording equipment and let our turkish guide hit the record button once the prayer started. The sound is recorded using an m/s rig straight to dat and processed afterwards with a hp filter in protools to remove microphone rumble. I took a very fast recording of someone hitting some orchestral chimes, slowed it down by over 200% and added some harmonic excitement and equalization in post production. Taken at the delta airlines terminal at los angeles international airport. I used a tascam dr-07 mkii recorder. It was approximately 12pm and i was seated in the waiting area indoors. To my right but also behind me were the boarding gates for the airplanes. I used wavepad for osx to boost the volume.
