Pine cones dropping and landing on a bed of pine needles. This recording was made on a windy day, so there is some background "whooshing" wind; all in all, i think these pine cones softly landing on the needles can be put to good use. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder, with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. For this recording i literally wanted to get as close as i could, so i placed the shotgun microphone on the ground and carefully let the pine cones fall as close to the microphone as possible, but without hitting it. *not easy to do. Welcome to rome. We needed some drum cadences for julius caesar and i was unable to find any i really liked so we grabbed our orchestra drummer here at the theater and we came up with 13 different cadences for us including jfk's funeral march. Most are done on snare and then again on a single tom, easily looped for duration. They have no verb on them so you can add as you desire for your space. A computer-generated voice build specifically for a video game called artemis spaceship bridge simulator. I wrote the text, put it through a royalty-free text to voice generator. Then i edited it in pro tools with several fx to achieve the proper mood. I specifically use it with artemis bridge tools, which lets this track be triggered by game events. I am not affiliated with this video game in any way. Just a passionate sound designer with a gaming habit. For this track, the computer says "docking complete. ".

For free use. This is file for creating deep ambiance. Just mix that sound with other ambiance sound (on free sound there is at least a million such sounds. . . Like noice. . Like thunder rain. . . Like station. . . Like people tallk and so far. . . ). It works best with noises or other deep sounds. I think if you add a little bit of that sound to other audio file you can get very spezial sound for ambiante. I will add similar sound as a only vocal too. This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. Recording from inside the passenger space of the twin turboprop engines of a bombardier dash 8-300 aircraft while on the runway, during takeoff, and during the transition to cruise at altitude.

This is a clip of various engine sounds recorded on my 2003 subaru impreza wrx with a 3" turbo-back exhaust system. The audio starts with the engine at idle and includes a few engine revs at different rpms. You can hear some turbo whistling and also some rattling of god-knows-what parts. It's a little muffled (kind of a muddy sound), but could be used as part of an action sequence or with a music track laid over. That interesting time of year between winter and spring. Actually, here in the northern hemisphere winter can still be strongly felt. . . The outside temp. When this recording was done was a very cold 30 degrees f. But, as you can hear, the main players in this small-town soundscape are the american robins (turdus migratorious) who are busy vocalizing and setting up their territory. Despite the cold, these summer residents don't seem to let that get in their way. Recording made at 6:30am on tuesday march 13th, 2018 in the backyard of a home in a small town in illinois. I made a small python program that generates 20 random beeps. I record the outcome. I cut the result so that the first beep starts after 0. 01 secthe file ends right after the last beep. This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

It is also intended for the freesound sound museum to represent books as what is fading rapidly into obsolescence. By the time you read this, you may not even know what a books is. Books are when the written word is compiled onto sheets of paper in a long-form volume. You may not know what paper is. Paper is commonly used to write on or make oregano cranes with, being flat and thin rectangles made from trees. You probably won't remember what a tree was. That is a very sad thing. They are all gone now, destroyed in feckless deference to paper. When the paper runs out, there will be nothing left to write our collective histories on, what we desperately need. When this occurs, it will stand as the moment our past was truly lost, leaving us lost the same, drifting in circles. Until another man or woman rises up to invent trees again, thus beginning the cycle anew. It's a beautiful idea. We should always be moving towards the future, not lost in syrupy memories of old forests not seen for what they really are: petrified wood and amber. Leave that with the other fossils and relics. Let it be the final page written on the last book until it crumbles to dust. Let it go. The file was recorded using a mid/side stereo technique at 24bits, downsampled to 16bits under the loving care of gaussian dither. The room was treated as best i could to be acoustically pleasing and quiet. I think you will find the noise floor to be particularly well balanced and textured, suitable for post-production tasks, or just for relaxing with at home. .

I was awakened at about 3 am by a local thunderstorm. It was raining softly and lightning came regularly. I recorded over 4 minutes of it from my front porch using an iphone and added recording app, and nothing else. This file is unmodified. A young backpacker is walking along a country road but is kidnapped and bound. When caged, he comes to the realization that his mountain-dwelling captors are practicing cannibals. After escaping his bonds and getting out of the makeshift cage, he silently slips from the campsite into the hills, and after picking his way around rocks and waterfalls and through miles of forest, he is hopelessly lost. He sits and rests, then, alone in darkness and a summer thunderstorm. All he has other than the clothes on his back is a folding pocket knife. When you make it and it wins at cannes, let me know.

I just recorded this on my phone whilst i was chilling in the conservatory atont the back of my house. . . The heavens literlly opened for a very heavy shower of. . . You will hear the rain on the roof and i move the phone closer and further away from the roof so to get a good soundrange. . I also open the door and let the recording pick up the natural outside showering and rain gushing over the gutters hitting the patio and back step. . Our cat is being handled very gently by my daughter, and as predicted, she expresses her displeasure with sitting on top of my daughter's lap - even when being rubbed. Created with a korg electribe 2 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle reverb. The manual states that it models the line6 m9 particle verb. Particle reverb. I get annoyed easily when i hear someone telling me what to do. It gets me in trouble. This was a while ago. I hadn't ever been caught at that point, and he was the one recording. He actually got me started on that. Of course, i had taken off the offending articles of clothing and kicked off my sneakers, and was locked outside my own front door that way. Of course i couldn't go anywhere, and the only unlocked window had an air conditioner in it. Yes i did. Right over the top of it, might have looked pretty clumsy, at least…i know it was risky but not as bad as standing out there. Luckily it was a back window. Unluckily, it was raining. Hard. Should have let him build that fence.

My small dog was running around outside and got pretty hot. When i brought her in, she began lapping up water at a fast pace. She's also a little sniffly so it got some nice sniffle noises in there too. I feel like this could work well for plenty of different character shots, from a monster, to a comedy-type shot of someone eating something like noodles, to a dog drinking water in an animation. Zoom h4n 2018 - onboard microphones. This is an unprocessed recording of the pilot light being repeatedly lit and then extinguished on a natural gas fire globe. This would be perfect for the sound of any gas device being lit such as a grill, boiler, pool heater, water heater, stove, oven, etc. . . I have give you many variations to choose from and provided some audio of the flame once lit that can be easily looped. Recording a stream in jardim gulbenkian, lisbon. It's a beautiful and tranquil park in central lisbon that happens to be under a flight path, so the ambience is regularly interrupted by the sound of planes landing/ taking-off.

Third test sample using 2 ntg3's for seperate left and right audio channels. Recorded using fostex fr2-le, mogami neglex quad xlr cables. Aircraft were about 10-20ft about microphones.

This is a very clean recording (no voices or words that can be made out) of a 737 in flight from inside the passenger cabin. We were seated directly behind the wing. It's just a great recording of what the sound level actually is inside a 737 at altitude. It's a surprisingly low rumble and a true white noise. Enjoy!. - christopher c. Courter.

I built it because i could. It is fitted with gliding linear slide carriage bearings, has a counterbalanced offset crank with needle bearings, a jackshaft to drive it from a variable-speed dc motor, and even a variable stroke length (which was tricky). Above all it has something i haven't seen in any of the machines one can buy, a bendable, collapsible coupling that would prevent injury to whomever is on the receiving end of the stroke. Clearly it will never be placed into production as it would cost too much to sell at a typical consumer price level. May all be for nothing because i can't get anyone to let me try it out, and i'm only accepting female applicants from among people i know. It's my machine. Sue me.
