I recorded the subtle crackling sound beer foam makes after you pour it into the glass. I needed an old record player sound so i improvised. I was pretty pleased with the result.

Opening and closing an old metal hatch in our basement. The hatch is locked by two handles. The first two creaks are the handles being turned, the last creak is the hatch itself. At around 0:10, the hatch is closed again and the two handles are turned to closed position. Recorded using a no-name directional microphone. Using a zoom h2n to record the sound of my 1970 vw beetle as i started it.

These are series of various flash bulb pop sounds designed by me for the war-themed short film project. I've decided to create those myself from scratch, because i could not find any proper recordings of those rare vintage flash bulb which were closed lamps that contained a magnesium filament along with oxygen gas that would be ignited and create a significant pop followed by short crackle. Examples and also a reference for these i took from the opening scene of "watchmen" (film, 2009) directed by zack snyder. Materials from soundly pro library.

A late '90s desktop pc booting. The first few seconds are most eventful. Recorded with a zoom h1n, which was not completely stationary while recording (i was holding a small tripod). Includes pc speaker, fan, diskette drive and lots of hard drive noises.

An old hard drive starting up. The idle sound is from the hard drive itself and not the computer's fan noise. Some minor editing has been done to remove a slight bass rumble from the computer's fan. Recorded on sony pcm-a10.
