Sailing on the baltic sea (radio gale warning at the end).

Bow wave of a ~8m sailing boat in calm water, distant micing. No sounds from the sail (could just as well be a motor boat depending on what you layer the sound with ;) ). There is also recording with a more close up perspective of the bow wave. Recorded with a ~30cm ab pair of neumann km183 on a tascam hd-p2, 48khz, 24bit.

Recording #1 of my own shirt flapped, snapped, whipped, waved etc. If you pitch-shift this down (or slow it down) it can sound (imo) indistinguishable from, say, a large flag or large sail being pulled and snapped in the wind. This had recording noise removed, and silences auto-trimmed, with auto-regions from that trimming generated and saved in the file (handy for selecting a sound region easily or exporting regions as a lot of separate sounds). I request but do not demand attribution to me for use of this sound.

The sea was fairly choppy/rough and this is a recording of the waves crashing against a break water/wall with some occasional spraying sounds. Theres a great stereo effect of the waves hitting from left to right. Could be a good sound for any on boat/stormy sea needs.

Recorded on zoom h4n. An outside seating area of a london pub on the river thames. Relaxed chatter, seagulls squawking and occasional boats passing by. There is also an occasional metallic bump from two boats that were moored nearby knocking into each-other.

This is the helvetia paddle steamer boat of cgn fleet. It was moored to be renovate and repaired. Little waves make the boat pitch and the big metal rope linking the boat to the quay is producing these nice metallic noises. 48khz schoeps.

Sounds of the "porto mirabello" from la spezia. You will hear sounds of boats tied up in the harbour; sounds of water clashing with the platform; sounds of people chatting; far away you can hear also boats navigate into the port. It was recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). Recorded in a sunny, calm-windy afternoon. The sound was no post-processed.

In broekhuizen, near arcen, lies the old ferry named grubbenvorst, dying on the river maas. It has been replaced by a newer one. The old one lies rotting away some hundred metres away from its old trajectory. It was very windy that day and the carcass of the ship was mildly rocking back and forth resulting in this beautiful creaking. The occasional thud is the boat hitting the construction it is lying in. This recording was made with a zoom h2n on 4 channel mode. It was then further edited and processed using reaper. It was recorded on april 3rd 2018. The zoom was protected by a rycote windshield and my own cap as an extra windbreaker.

My computer starting up and shutting down in a quiet room around 11:30 pm. This thing has a solid-state drive of 120gb that is used to boot up windows 7 pro, and a wd green 500gb hard drive that is used to store nearly all my games, and tons of other large (compilations of) files including my five nights fangame files. This was recorded on the night of 4th september 2022, at 11:30 pm. As i am writing this, it's 11:12 am, monday, 5th september. This is my computer starting up and shutting down. (before you scold me for using a weak-ass computer, here are the specs and goodies). Yet i pulled up the gain, so it might not have been noticeable in real life.

Tweaked an extractor fan in audacity using reverb and other effects to create this clip. Sounds like an submerged submarine propeller a little. Hopefully you'll find an appropriate context for it.
