July 2013, rcording from setup pc in greenhouse. Extreme rain changing to hail (25 mm diamter)for a couple of minutes, then rain again. Last bit of recording is sound from pc fan. Did not cut it off, wanted to let listeners understand that i made a temporary installation in the greenhouse for capturing the immense noise.

I used one of those blank plastic cds that you sometimes get when you buy cd holders. I broke it up into many pieces and dropped them multiple times adding on the ending to make it sound like the leftover pieces bounce. Sorry about the backround noises, recorded on a laptop with the fan running and a tv in the backround. Came out pretty good though. I was satisfied in the end though.

A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. This is heavily inspired by the urban myth and/or creepypasta called the backrooms, which have a very distinct atmosphere to them. This is my interpretation. However, this isn't exclusively for backrooms-related stuff! so by all means, if you're simply in need of some interior ambience of any sort, that's also why i made this for you. No advanced processing was used to achieve this sound. I recorded an electrical box in my garage for the buzzing. For the 2nd layer, i turned on some fans in my room, and made a long mono recording of the white-noise. I then split the recording in half, and used each half for the left and right channel, giving it a stereo sound. I then spent an hour leveling all of it because i'm a perfectionist. Yay. Hardware & software used:-audacity-zoom h4n pro (buzzing)-rode nt1 (fan-noise).

This is a sound i created by using three different things. I recorded my bathroom fan and altered the pitch, added a few cents and overlayed them at 50%, and added a band-pass filter. I also recorded batteries rolling across the bottom of a drawer, lowered the pitch a bit, and added a high pass filter. And then lastly i added some wind that i created by blowing into my hands. That i did not adjust at all. It sounds just like a thunderstorm.

Something went wrong on a mechanical device on top of the building that faces my balcony. I don't know what it is exactly (some fan. . . ) but the noise it produces is pretty theatrical. This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 actually performing a copy of a single page. Includes a button beep at the start, fan noise, servo motor sounds, paper sorter moving sounds and lots of other mechanics being moved around. You really get an idea how complicated these modern machines are. . :). The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

A walk from my studio on surrey canal road to surrey canal station passing a match at the millwall stadium, a group of ticketless millwall fans watching from a vantage point on the path and commenting on the upcoming general election, the roar of the crowd segueing into the ominous rumbling/squealing of the south east london combined heat and power waste incineration plant and the sound of trains passing on the rails overhead and adjacent to the path.
