I was playing along with 'the payback' by james brown on my roland td-11 kit. Had to record right off my simmons monitor with my yamaha pocketrak. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).
I was given a text to speech program to play with and this is what i came up with using audacity and some sound clips/fx from the library. All sounds are free to use combined on open source software. Short ditty 1 minute.

A funky grooved beat i made from individual copyright free percussive sounds sequenced together in sony acid. I applied a groove by manually moving some of the samples off the quantized beats.
Two small mechanical sirens recorded with a h2 recorder in a factory building. One siren is very close, the other in a remote place. You can also hear the sound of a door and ambient noise.

After reading about how the winstons’ drummer never got a penny in royalties for the tens of thousands of times the amen break was sampled, i created this tribute in hydrogen and audacity using a free kit. Have fun!.
