Just played around with a granulizer and this sound came out of it. Actually i made a track before where i was looking for this exact sound. But until now, i couldn't find it. So if anyone is looking for the same sound too, here it is.

For my theatre production class.

A recording with an sm 7b while playing on the guitar head with added distortion. The recording environment was not ideal so the "white noise" is amplified room noise.

Director of "rodky horror show" wanted a spooky sound effect when riff raff opens door. I recorded and made up a sound effect of door being unchained using tire chains, and mixed it with freesound 70101 of a creaky door.

Here's a sound that helps describe when you realize something that you wish you hadn't. Recorded with a yamaha/goblins synth using audacity. My second recording.

Made out of a mid sixties cantonese film dialog track - heavily processed.

A sound i composited to represent something i actually heard in the woods one night. Entirely my voice with some basic effects applied.

A strange woodwind-like sound made with a granulizer, a metallic hitting sample and black magic.

Plucked tension, guitar sounding like piano.

To me the final effect sounded like a haunted space ship. I began with a 10 second sample of ordinary speech then lowered the pitch, stretched the wave pattern, added echo and reverb. Then i copied portions of the wave pattern to a new track and mixed the two into a mono track. Did this several times while also using noise reduction and normalization.

This is me groaning with a bunch of fx added, it sounds a little like a door creaking in a haunted house. It's a very unsettling sound especially when low in a mix.

Recorded on a zoom h5 stock mic capsule. Enjoy!. Btw always curious about what you make from this, feel free to link your creations :).

Repeated cry for help with echo and delay. The voice maybe hasn't been modified enough to sound really spooky, and the one falsetto 'help me' may prevent it from being scary. But that might be useful, if you don't want something very intense (e. G. To keep the tone lighter).

Ghostly female wail. Might be ghosts, or might be deadly sirens calling across misty waters to lure hapless sailors to their doom. Voice synthesis achieved by mixing formant filtered oscillators. Pitch bending is added to the note track to produce a descending, spooky wail.

Recording of silence with heavy noise reduction and processing.

Night: high winds with gusts. Record inside a wooden shed, 12 ft by 30 ft. Low roar of wind outside with louder, higher velocity gusts. Creaking of wood structure, bang of object on wall. Recorded with oss (jecklin disk) system using two josephson c617 mics with microtech-gefell mk221 capsules.

A weird scary ambience noise.

This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.
