I was sitting in my car in the city centre of glasgow scotland waiting for a member of my family, so to pass the time i got out my little canon powershot a460 digital camera, wound down my window and recorded the sound of the heavy traffic driving past my car. I stopped at a dog park in los angeles on my way to work. There weren't too many dogs, but the maintenance workers were there cleaning up, so i recorded them. Recorded with: sound devices 702t, beyer dynamic mc930 mics.

Recording of myself walking through olvera street over in los angeles, unfortunately arrived when everything was about to close down so it's not as busy, but something to note, i wasn't still, i walked through the street so music and people talking are passing by quicker in the recording and the occasional footstep from myself can be heard. The sounds of a soft summer evening storm in the city drawing to a close. Recorded on a blue yeti from my studio window that faces the gangway between buildings. Some distant sounds of my partner in the apartment can be heard within the first 30 seconds. Throughout the remainder, there are occasional sounds from the street as cars pass on the wet road.

High above our heads and the less pleasant layers of car traffic, budgies tweet and chirp and chitter. Nestling in the crowns of pine trees in various parks across the eu capital, they add a subtropical flavor to brussels' diverse soundscape. Just as most of the city's inhabitants, the ring-necked, alexandrine and quaker parrots came from a different place. Having escaped a zoo exhibit many years ago, they've been eking out a living, adapting to the tempered climate and found themselves a new home. As urban animals they contribute to brussels' exceptional cosmopolitan vibe. (recorded in the park of forest).
