Stereo hydrophone recording of a small croatian harbor basin. Hydrophones submerged by approx. 1m, next to the bounding wall of the basin, facing the open sea. Lots of waves can be heard, in the onset, a small motorboat passes in the far range. Recorded with a pair of jrf series d hydrophones, spaced 18 cm apart with 0° dispersion.

Two stainless steel bowls of different sizes were partially filled with water and knocked around to produce watery, springy, boingy sounds. Recorded in stereo using a zoom h2 digital recorder. The sounds have been reversed in this file.

I turned my kitchen sink on and off several times. Its a fairly noisy sink. You can hear the faucet squeaking and a high pitched hum that comes from the pipes. Once the faucet is turned off, you can hear the water running down the drain.

A recording made in mid june of 2017 near the ohio river from the bank of rosiclare illinois. The main sound is an angry killdeer that was constantly fussing at me for being too close to her nest. You'll also hear a johnboat plowing through the river, the wind through the leaves of a huge sycamore tree and various children, low in the distance, playing on a playground on this perfect 80 degree summer day. Low attack, medium decay, low-medium sustain, low release. "slappy" - self-explantory, low attack but high release. "no-oh-wah" - sort of surreal acoustic profile. A combination of low attack, low sustain and release.
