A 7200 rpm western digital hard drive spins up, idles for about 15 seconds and shuts off. Nice motor noises along with the spin up. Recorded using a zoom h1n recorder very close to the hard drive. Noise reduction and cuts made using audacity.

Some wah wah guitar i recorded for a video, sharing the guitar take from the track. Tascam dr-40 through a digital performer drv-100 (best mic i had at the time) recording a stratocaster playing through a crybaby wah pedal into a fender twin reverb amp.

Recorded binaurally using sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural microphone headset, 12vdc battery box, sound devices mixpre-6 at 24/192. Postprocessing: digital gain, downsampled to 16/48. Flac: encoded. The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely. A lot of digital gain (+30db?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21db on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging. An mp3 recording of a blood-curdling scream which slightly reverberates. Made by me screaming into the piano while holding down the pedal, which makes the notes vibrate in tune with the voice. A short, gently alarmed sound i made for negative user feedback events in apps and games. I used native instruments' massive, starting from a patch i originally authored for synthesizing parrot chirps! this sound might also be useful for more generic button duties.

This kind of noise randomly generates the values -1 or +1 at a given rate per second. This number is the frequency. In this example the frequency is 100 hz. The algorithm for this noise was created two years ago by myself in c++, as an imitation of noise generators in supercollider 2.

Raw sampled xlive. Exe on a hungarian windows 7 64-bit computer using audacity. The reason why it's only 11khz in frequency range is becaue 44 100 hz makes the sample too high pitched. Also had to make it mono because most of the sound was pushed to the right.

This is a random synthesized click-sound followed by a reverb with 200 ms pre-delay. I used cubase roomworks and roomworks se for the reverb, synth 1 for the click and various plugins to master the samples a little. Still they sound pretty unprocessed so you can edit them to fit your needs.
