It is a very strange sound:) made by my reloop rmx-30 dj mixer's and sb live soundcard's bug! there could be a malfunction and when i used the gain potmeter the sound from nowhere (the cable, the mixer, the soundcard, don't know. . ) became mad. One of a series of heavily processed sounds of me ripping various objects off a sticky surface. I ran the original recordings through s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, using the granular synthesis features to generate a range of distorted, robotic tones.

Electric and noisy sound that evokes bad radio transmission or hard drive problem. It was created by the pressure of a iced tea bottle, which let a small air stream escape through the neck. (lot of noise cause the sound was really low). Zoom h5n + sgh6 mic.

Quiet time of day, recorder placed in cardboard box in a cupboard and covered with clothing. As in title and file info, low cut 40hz, 16 bit, 44. 1 khz. I didn't see any point in going below a 70% gain level as it's not too bad at those levels.

This is the sound of attempting to uncork a bottle of champagne with a saber, but, after a few practice hacks that hit the glass neck of the bottle, accidentally cutting off the bottle at the neck. Champagne explodes out and drips onto the ground, which is grassy and dry. Recorded with a boom microphone onto a p2 card via a panasonic hvx200 digital video camera.

I took this sample from a phone message. I did use a live feed,(from the headset output on my phone, through a cable into my digital recorder. ) but it is very soft. When i tried recording with out the live feed, i couldn't even find the noise again. It could definitely use to be amped up a bit.

In this piece, the recording of an acoustic guitar was made,with the technique of listening with one ear from several points and distances, since, as we saw in course 2, doing that is like listening to the way in which the microphone picks up the sound; and that is the specific point where the microphone must be. A dynamic microphone, interface and computer with digital audio station was used.
