Made a nice lil low end snare because i was bored, probably the cleanest sounding yet. Mixed a low end tom with a snare and then did some compression, saturation, and excitement.

Snare tuned e. I've created it with rob papen punch software synthesizer & saturated in tapey style. It's not very fat 'cause the fundamental tone is above 300hz & it's "low-cutted" by fabfilter eq. .

Got around to putting a swish noise on my punchy_evolution 2 snare and the result was alright, then i compressed it a little bit and put a little bitcrushing on it to maximize the volume.

What is music forge project?music forge project (mfp) is a library of plug-in presets and scores (no samples or copyrighted material). I myself have built this library (if someone wants to give presets for the library, it is much appreciated). The library uses a series of free vst (not included in the installation of the mfp). Acoustic snare sample ripped from the stock fruity loops loop "pendulus" mixed in with a click transient from a free goldbaby sample pack. Resampled and compressed multiple times. Tape saturated. Basically layered a 200hz snare body, similar to a 909, low-passed and saturated. Added in a transient sound, then a certain impact sound that you wouldn't expect, layered together with some high end white noise, compressed, then used a transient shaper for that final touch.

Free kick drum made with drum synth.

This is a series of sounds made into a loop, and it created a very fun beat. I have chosen to do nothing with it, other than share--lite drums, rattles, chanting.

7. 5" long latin percussion cowbell, muffled inside with duct tape, struck once with a drumstick.

A super heavily compressed and saturated snare with a decently long noise tail. Fun to pitch up or chop and throw into a break. Used in my upcoming hybrid-v ep release.

Tried to add sub harmonic content to a snare, so a lot of the punch in this 200hz snare comes from harmonics like 50hz 100 hz etc. Execution prolly wasnt too great but i like how it came out.

A 16 bar drum loop made in ableton with no samples rendered at 44100khz and a bit depth of 24 with triangular dithering. The drum loop runs at 140 bpm and the buzz on the bass/kick drum isn't audible when layered with a track.

Three quick samples of the gear one mk1000 on kick (+ a single audio technica at2020 overhead on the rest of the kit). Recorded straight into a tascam us-1800 in a lousy room with a less-than-optimal 22" mapex kick drum. Each quick loop / snippet is 1) presented in mono / processed with compression and some eq (mostly a 6dbish scoop at around 300hz on the mk1000 and 80hz rolloff on the 2020 with about 5db less on the mk1000 than the 2020), then 2) presented exactly as recorded / no processing at all save normalization, mk1000 panned hard left channel, at2020 panned hard right. The first two samples are the mk1000 in the resonant head cutout, the third is the mk1000 positioned about 4" from the head and just about 2" from dead center of the drum.
