This is the absolute classic joke sting. I crafted this sound using in-the-box effects and royalty free samples.

Some noise made to sound like the noise generators used in analog drum synthesizers for things like cymbals. Made with helm, 4 comb filters, and a high-pass filter. Helm to generate square wave dissonance, comb filters to add stereo and more "structured noise" quality, and high pass filter to hide the lower overtones.

A bunch of garbage (soda cans, beer bottles, chip bags, styrofoam container, etc. ) on top of a bed/blanket, then gets tossed onto the floor. Includes body movement, resetting of props and retakes. Stereo. 24 bit. 48 khz. Low cut applied.

Large constant debris movement. Sounds mostly wooden. Could be used for demolition, crash, ship wreck, or as sweetener for destructive fight scene.

A short segment as i played along with the ramones' song: my brain is hanging upside down. I recorded it on my roland td-9 module and edited it in sony sound forge and sony vegas. There's a slight buzz that i get and i tried to clean it up as best i could with noise reduction. Someday i'll figure out what is causing the buzz. Please comment on what you may use it for. Sort of a clattering or crash sound when the box hits the floor, like something smashing. It was made my me placing my recorder close to where i would drop the box on the floor. The box was actually full of lego bricks.

Files labeled "ms" correspond to mid/side recordings. This allows for adjustment and separation of the stereo image. To makes the most of these samples, i suggest you do, or the stereoness could sound exaggerated. Most daws and audio editors have this capability, or you can use any of several free applications, such as voxengo's msed (set to "inline" mode). The pack variations correspond to different recording techniques and microphone combinations.
