This sound is a pitched down recording of a metal knife striking the prongs of a metal fork. I added some reverb and adjusted the eq to make it sound like distant swords striking each other. This was used to simulate the ambient sounds of cutlasses in a pirate battle. In addition to clashing swords, this track could be adjusted to mimic the sounds of a blacksmith working at his anvil or flint and steel in lighting a fire, among other sound effects.

Recorded in july of 2019 at blue cliff monastery (pine bush, ny) using a zoom h1n and 3dio fs binaural microphone. At 9:30 p. M the"great togetherness meditation hall" was empty except for two meditators (one of whom can be heard leaving about three and a half minutes into the recording). The natural creaking of the building can be heard throughout. Additional sounds include outside crickets, cars passing on a nearby road, and an occasional airplane. The track volume was maximized using goldwave.

When i recorded the pump is in operation, you may hear the rhythmic sound of the handle being moved up and down, as well as the sound of water being sucked up from the ground and pushed up through the riser pipe and in addition to the sounds of the pump itself, you may also hear other ambient sounds in the village, such as the chatter of people going about their daily activities, the sounds of animals.

A fascinating recording of a warm, humid mid august day in the midwest. This recording was made on sunday august 11th, 2019 near a popular dog park in a small southern illinois town. In addition to the gentle droning of the insects, and occassional birds, you will hear some dogs barking at various times toward the end of the piece. An audio translation of statistics on the current covid-19 pandemic. A sound composition that makes the pandemic tangible on an acoustic level, based on data series and curves. The basis for the auditory presentation of the statistics is provided by pixelsynth, a browser-based synthesiser for generating sounds from images. A cursor scrolls over the monochrome image of a statistic and plays notes when it comes into contact with bright pixels. The audio tracks generated by pixelsynth from the statistics were then recorded in logic pro and individually processed using effects, automations and other synths and sounds. Additional information: the audio is complemented by appropriate animations of the statistics, which cannot be shown here, however.

Mid/side recording of my stomach after having a fizzy drink. I laid down and placed the zoom h2n directly on my stomach. All kinds of stomach ejactulations can be heard in addition to my heartbeat. Raw 24/96 ms recording; be sure to decode before use. Left channel is mid, right is side. To do this manually you should separate the channels to two mono tracks, duplicate the side track and invert the duplicate. Pan the side tracks hard left and right, and mix with the mono mid channel. Or use a plugin to do it for you :d.

A slinky spring toy stretched out and plucked once from the end, recorded with a zeppelin design labs cortado impedance-matched piezo contact microphone. The resulting recording is a classic spring-based sci-fi "laser sound" with a massive, lengthy, rumbling decay tail. This was recorded at 24 bit 96 khz. In addition to its use as a sound effect, this waveform works well inside a convolution reverb as an offbeat spring reverb impulse response, provided one has the processor power and ram to support a 2 minute 13 second convolution. The cortado's bass response is exceptionally large for a contact mic, so high pass filtering may be desired if used as an impulse response.
