In broekhuizen, near arcen, lies the old ferry named grubbenvorst, dying on the river maas. It has been replaced by a newer one. The old one lies rotting away some hundred metres away from its old trajectory. It was very windy that day and the carcass of the ship was mildly rocking back and forth resulting in this beautiful creaking. The occasional thud is the boat hitting the construction it is lying in. This recording was made with a zoom h2n on 4 channel mode. It was then further edited and processed using reaper. It was recorded on april 3rd 2018. The zoom was protected by a rycote windshield and my own cap as an extra windbreaker.

Sounds of the "porto mirabello" from la spezia. You will hear sounds of boats tied up in the harbour; sounds of water clashing with the platform; sounds of people chatting; far away you can hear also boats navigate into the port. For a motorboat promotional video i was looking for underwater sounds. Than modified a motorboat sound recorded on field with audition and thats the result.

Two flat barges, relatively big, are docked side-by-side (at berth) and rubbing against one another due to choppy conditions. Raw audio edited to remove moments of intense, booming wind noise. Recorded in watchet harbour in somerset, uk, a few hours before a huge storm hit the little town. The wind is whistling through the rigging on the masts of the boats in the harbour, producing an eerie whine. Recorded with an sennheiser me-66. Mono.

A recording that i did on a shoot for some ambient sound while in a small 10' motor boat. The motor runs for a little while but then turns off and the sound of the boat just floating in the water can be heard. The mic is moved around a bit to get a few samples of different perspectives.
