This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. There is the distinct hum of the transformer/capacitor or whatever helps power them running in the background and then a distinctive click and electronic thud as the lights come on followed by the buzz of the overhead lights as they are warming up. Mp3 and wav files available. It's a pretty distinctive noise and i will try to get a better recording of it next time.

I got hit by a spinning firecracker that decided to run into me while recording my other firecracker sounds. In the middle of the clip it sounds like someone stepping on old wood planks. Maybe someone will have some use for this sound.

Radio electric buzz error noise.

Microwave oven running for approximately 30 seconds, with door and beeps. Recorded with an oppo reno 8 lite 5g and edited with audacity. The microwave oven used was a breville bmo300 (34l) running on 240v 50hz power.

This is not the actual sound of a bug being killed. That is a much shorter sound. This is the sound that comes when the bug zapper is first plugged in. It's the startup sound. I use it for my text notification. My wife says that it sounds like a fart.
