A gregorian chant melody line with arpeggiated harmony played from digital keyboard into a music maker midi recording. I gave it a whirl with a vst synthesizer voice called men's cathedral, twirled lots of dials and this came out.

Cao dai it's a very vietnamese religion. It's syncretic, harmonious and colorful. I recorded this at phu quoc island, in 2016 -with the only tool at hand, a samsung phone. I think it's very interesting and peaceful.

In the middle of the recording the monks practice their ceremony with drums and without drums only repeating something that sounds like a mantra.
