Very noisy machinery sounds.

Some guys across the alley were throwing things out the window this morning, which woke me up and ticked me off. Instead of yelling at them, i put up my mic and recorded the impacts. This is the raw audio from the recording (only mono, sorry, didn't have time to set up two mics). Some really nice impacts and other hidden goodies in here. Later i may take some cuts out of it and put them up. Mic: rode nt1-aposition: from window c. 30 feet away.

A truck delivers a large dumpster used to haul off construction waste. Truck idles, moves into position, drops off the dumpster, and drives off. Construction work by 2 stonemasons in matosinhos, portugal. Stone picking in quiet urban environment. Occasional conversation between the two workers, in portuguese. Recording with 2 microphones. A piece of construction equipment moving earth. The vehicle runs on tracks, which you can hear along with the squeaky pulleys. Also the warning beeps as the machine backs up.

This is a recording of men working at a construction site. You can hear individual hammers as well as a jackhammer and other machinery. Field recording made in boston's city hall plaza, summer 2005. Lots of miscellaneous crowd noise can be heard: footsteps, random chatter, and so on. There is also some construction being done nearby, so the noise of construction machinery backing up is also prominent at certain parts.

You will hear the first construction site that i walked by that has the circular sawing. Then i walked past it and sat down for the majority of the recording where you can hear the second construction site that is about a short-block away and that's where all the hammering is coming from. Recorded at astor place, nyc, january 2023. And uncharacteristically no sirens blaring lol.
