Simple drone sound, created by using ableton's operator plus some granulator and effects. It can be used as a subtle background noise to make your scene tenser or etc. You get itexperiment with volume automation.

This is a recording of traffic passing on a freeway. Used the voice recorder app on my samsung galaxy phone to record this. It is an android app available on google play. After recording this i downloaded it as a wav file, then uploaded it to soundtrap. Com. An online studio where you can record and create music using pre-recorded instrumental loops. Here i altered or distorted the sound of the traffic to make it a more ambient sounding loop. Giving it a drone sounding noise.

I've been working on a plugin for unity to allow users to create short loops from arrangements of other loops. Seems to be working pretty well, pretty much like a low-tech version of acid. Anyways, this was a little arrangement i made as a test, and i kinda like it so i thought i'd post it here for feedback and such. Feel free to use this loop for any project in any way, credit is not required.

Music for movies.

I made this recording of ambient backgroud noise directly beneath the eiffel tower. The shape of the eiffel tower creates a unique acoustic environment in the vicinity of the tower, especially beneath it. You can hear a much higher level of background noise than you would hear in an open area, and the noise is unusual. The tower is made of thin pieces of iron arranged into a complex and very large lattice, which reflects and slices and dices sound in a unique way. Thus you have a high level of very even and unidentifiable background noise as noises from the ground and the platform get bounced around and distorted by the structure of the tower. This recording was made from the ground, with microphones pointed straight upwards about 2 meters off the ground. Noises from the ground travel upwards and bounce around the inside of the tower, then drift back down. There are noises in the tower itself as well, such as elevator motors and people on the platforms. The first platform, at 57 meters, is open in the center, whereas the second platform, at 116 meters, is completely closed and flat on the bottom. Wind moving through the tower also makes noise, and again the open structure of the tower changes the noise in a way that is specific to the eiffel tower. There wasn't much wind at ground level for this recording, but i don't know what the wind speed was at higher levels in the tower. Some voices in multiple languages are audible in the recording, as the area beneath the tower is awash in tourists. Recorded hand-held with a zoom h4n and a mini windjammer, using built-in mics, in stereo 96 khz / 24 bits, then converted to mp3 at 320 kbps because of the size of the file. Duration is about two minutes.

Weird sorta lo-fi type of riff which changes to an almost country type of lick, then it changes again near the end. Middle of the road distortion. Might work as a background noise track in smaller segments.

Recorded with zoom h2n ambisonic b-format (no z track), airplane cabin with passenger chatter. *note: you will need to decode this b-format ambisonic file with a plug-in such as the surroundzone2 which allows you to decode the file to a surround, stereo, or mono format. Also note that these are fuma bformat files converted from ambix format.

Icu intensive care unit - hallway ambience. Some machine beeps, steps, nurses working in background. Some moaning of patients. Chatter in portuguese (indistinct). Television sound in background (indistinct). Recorded with iphone13. Use freely on your personal commercial and non-commercial projects. Don't put this raw sounds/files on youtube or anywhere else. You can use them in creative way as a part of art-form, but not "re-distribute" as (royalty free) stock material.

Another 30 second sample, this time of a light rain this past august. No thunder or other background noises, just the rain. Perfect to loop.

Quiet, consistent city ambience: traffic at street crossing, some people, airplane, one loud bang. Motor rumble of starting/stopping vehicles, some distant voices, honk, shot/bang. Recorded with tascam dr100mk2 (built-in cardiods 58mm 90°, gain h7, 80hz-hp), no processing. Recorded on an april evening from a 5th floor balcony in berlin moabit.

Walking around in costco. The bumpy sound in the beginning is the grocery cart. At 00:28:114, i walk into that cold refrigerator/milk area. Recorded with iphone 8.

At the morning, saint-blimont, la somme, france. Recorded on 2018/11/01 at 8h24 by a rode nt4, sound devices 302 and olympus ls100. This is a good example that the rode nt4 is not a good system for quiet ambiances. High-pass (160 hz) on the sound devices, +12 db gain on pro tools.

Silent room, with feeble noises from the outside (cars, birds, neighbours). X/y stereo (zoom h5).

Chefchaouen, a small town perched in morocco's rif mountains, is made up of cobbled, windy streets. These lanes are too narrow to accommodate cars, which results in very unique soundscapes. While you might hear children during the day, at night you hear men standing around, selling their wares, and chatting. This recording is from february, 2020, using a tascam dr-05x.

Recorded in my backyard in early spring.

This is a synthesized hi-hat groove. It is basically an on two layers sequenced noise-patch. One layer to create the "closed hat" effect and another one to create the "open hat" effect.
