This helicopter sound design was created at fl studio, in the sytrus synthesizer. The sound consists of four layers. 1. Sine wave frequency of 44 hz. Simulates the low frequency noise of propeller blades. 2. White noise passed through the svf filter. Simulates the noise of propeller blades. 3. Saw wave. Simulates the sound of an engine. 4. The sine wave. Imitates a high-frequency whistle of the engine. Various modulations are applied to all waves through the envelopes of the synthesizer. Next, the signal on the mixer channel is processed by a multi-band exciter and equalizer. Then a signal was sent to two channels with delay processing. One of them imitates reflections. In the lower-middle frequency range. On the second in the upper-middle frequency range. As you approach the sound source, the volume parameters of the direct and reflected signals are automated, low pass filter, pan width and equalization of direct sound. The helicopter performs strange maneuvers, as if making constant circles during the approach to the listener. I did not seek to create the veracity of these maneuvers.

Sounds recorded directely from a boat stopped in front the beautiful baia blu (la spezia, italy). You can hear the waves clashing with the boat, the sounds of the sea, the people in the distance laugh and play, and a dip from the boat to the sea. It was recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). Recorded in a sunny, calm-windy afternoon. The sound was no post-processed.

I then walk on the fake grass in my lawn and narrate the sounds i hear from the road. Finally, my brother and i go through my side gate, where my brother and i walk on rocks. Sounds of trains passing above an art atelier in brussels, belgium; the room is right below the railway, so you can hear trains making different kinds of rumbles and noises from the other side of the ceiling. It was recorded with a tascam hd-p2 recorder and a sennheiser mkh50 directional microphone. I honestly don't know if the static sound (activated with two body contacts) is classified as "white" or "pink" noise, but i really like the sound of it! a plethora of crunchy, crispy, noisy snippets to transform into a drum kit or something like that!.

I stood on the platform at the montrose l station with a sony minidisc and recorded the entire process of a nyc subway train coming and going. Great single-speed diesel engine sound, loopable for any length background you need. This one happens to be at about 1200 rpm for a four-cylinder ford tractor engine. That said, i am living dangerously today because it's a field recording and i'm not saying where it was. Not because i can't, but because i frequently use the wrong door when entering or leaving the supermarket and i usually completely ignore the painted traffic directives in the parking lot. I'm proud of that.

Literally using a "motivational speaker" tape found in a box (full of several more of these god awful things!) while digging through the neighborhood trash to test out and setup a pitch-shifted vocal patch for my noisecore project. I recorded this with my zoom h2. Held the recorder the wrong way at first so for the first half of the recording you hear more reverb than direct sound, then realised my mistake and turned it the right way. I made some splashes with my hand so that it doesn't sound too monotonous. Some of the sound is water running into the bath, some - into the sink, i'm sure you can hear which is which. Not just any thunder this! this is the spanish variety and anyone who has been around a spanish thunderstorm will know what i mean. This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. Recorded with twin directional mike pointing away from each other. . . For just about the best stereo separation you're going to get!.

At a baby shower and there are these awesome paper pom poms that sounded so amazing when you dragged them over your hand, like wind rustling stiff grass or dry leaves. Opening and closing an old metal hatch in our basement. The hatch is locked by two handles. The first two creaks are the handles being turned, the last creak is the hatch itself. At around 0:10, the hatch is closed again and the two handles are turned to closed position. Recorded using a no-name directional microphone. Sound from near my flat (great barr birmingham uk) at around 4am. There are various bird sounds within this file aswell as being able to hear the m6 motorway in the distance (i did try to accent this by pointing the mic in different directions). There are also 3 types of footstep sounds, grass, dirt with stones, concrete slab. My wind shield isnt the best so hopefully you can find some use of the sounds!.

A field recording made as i walked on the north side of bloor st w, near shaw street in toronto on the evening of 29 may 2011. This is a commercial strip with many ethiopian bar-restaurants, outside of which men gather to smoke and have conversation. You can hear some of these as we pass along bloor, as well as the conversations of other passers-by. These sounds are pretty typical of this section of bloor on a fine spring evening. Recorded with a roland r05 and accessory stereo directional microphone.

Recorded during riding by attaching a zoom h4n at my left leg. The xy-microphone pointed vertically direction to the seat/engine, so no spectacular stereo-sound, but different sound timbre on l/r. The exhaust had a rusted hole so it's not the original vespa-sound but more rough. Different styles of driving. Including starter and switching off. No sound editing was made, so maybe you like to filter away low frequencies (some little wind was behind the shield).

Foley audio of passing cars on a country lane. Cars passed behind the direction the camera was facing. There's a mild stabilisation noise you may hear which could detriment your audio if not removed. Other than this, the sound is eloquent enough. Oin camera mic has been used from a canon 7d with no wind filter. Recorded in burnley, lancashire.
