4ch-surround field recording of a tv editing suite with all machines running. Very useful as a neutral backdrop for any kind of motion picture or radio play requiring an "techy" feel to the atmosphere. Recorded with a zoom h2, these are the rear channels, mics set to 120° dispersion.

This was made on ableton with nexus. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Gives me a super relaxed feeling when set with the beach or something. A short layer of rhythmic clanging created as a scary atmosphere in a chase scene. Used a roland groovebox with the self-sampling utility directly to wav. I've found this method results in good sounding recordings, but reduced high frequencies. Sorry, don't know the bpm.

Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). In the onset, you hear the steady drone of the jets, people talking, coughing, sneezing, newspapers rustling and notebook computers being typed on. Now and then, passengers and stewardesses pass by the aisle. Near the end, a signal bell sounds, and the drone of the jets takes on a perceivably higher tone, shortly after which the landing in berlin is announced, first in german, then in english.
