Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. So, like any astute audio lover, i grabbed my zoom and recorded it! did my best to not rattle the stove or anything on it. I'll put it as creative commons, since who really goes through and credits every single random sound file they downloaded on any given internet scourge? but i'm always interested to see how the sound are used - especially this one ;). I climbed down a narrow rock cave to record the eerie sounds of waves and water pouring in and out of the cave. It seems like it's never exactly the same sound. Good for setting ambiance in a cave for your treasure hunting pirate movie or audiobook.

This is a gurgling sound i created by accident. It's a short clip from the "new dimensions in sound (1957)" public domain clip from the prelinger collection at archive. Org. Specifically, i used this line: "as the record plays, the needle wiggles. " cut out the first part, made a loop of "the needle wiggles. . . The needle wiggles," and lowered the pitch with reapitch by two octaves. This was the result.

A long loop of rain, which could be used in a game or other project as-is. The suburban rumble has been filtered out, leaving only the sound of the rain. Drops falling on metal can be heard. ---2 primo em172 capsules -> zoom h1, 300 hertz low-cut filter.

For a motorboat promotional video i was looking for underwater sounds. Than modified a motorboat sound recorded on field with audition and thats the result.

I recorded myself filling up a cup of water for a game and while playing around with some settings i decided to paulstretch the sound. This was the result and i thought it would be perfect for any kind of horror/scary ambience!.

Besides being an inspiration since man first explored her, the ancient mississippi river is also a highway for many coal-carrying barges. For this recording my zoom h4n was on the soft, powdery sandy bank about 60 feet from the river…you hear the gentle, but powerful thrumming of the giant diesel engines as a huge, 200 foot barge passes by. Some notable natural sounds are a very clear red-wing blackbird at 20 seconds in, and again at one mine in and again at one-minute 13 seconds into it. You hear a wonderful, clear splash at 27 seconds into as well. Recording made around 4pm on a warm -- 80 degrees -- june day. Close your eyes, dig into the powdery, soft sand of the mississippi river bank and float away on a warm summer day.
