The sound in my staff changing room, a low fan noise and constant dripping noise. Quite interesting.

Recorded during a wet winter storm on january 12, 2014 in nova scotia. Wind gusts were reported to be 100 km per hour with heavy rain. Recorded using a zoom h4n using onboard mics standing under an awning for cover. Curious how this ends up being used.

Our expresso machine making a latte. You can hear it start up, fill the mug, as well as the milk whipping part of it softly run in the background. There’s probably some background noise to this because i was making breakfast. It can get pretty loud i was recording up close.

About 24 minutes of rain captured in my back yard. A couple of spaces you can hear cars driving by.

Leaky sink.

Liquid poured in a glass. Recorded very close, a lot of low end and bass resonance from the glass bottle.

Braun model 3105 coffee maker. Multiple takes of picking up and replacing the glass carafe on the hotplate. The left channel is a sennheiser mkh-416 and the right channel is an akg c414 b-uls, both into a john hardy m-1 preamp into pro tools. Each mic has a slightly different recording position. The akg has more of a "room" perspective whereas the sennheiser gives a close up, detailed perspective.

The sink turns on and runs for a while. Then it's turned off.

This is a recording of water dripping into the downpipe of a a gutter. I like the rhythm and the tiny variations, it sounds like techno-music. Some cars are passing by.

Wet peas dropped in a glass bowl. Recorded through audacity with an audio technica a2020 microphone. I reduced some backround noise and sent it through a high pass to reduce low frequencies.
