Drop of water dripped from faucet onto kitchen sink with added reverb and lowered pitch.

A folie i recorded for a short students movie i edited in 2011. I recorded these water drips with the zoom n4's built -in microphones and it worked great for me, so i decided to upload it. Enjoy.

Rode nt5 cardioid microphone. Zoom h6. Location: apartment/indoors. Halifax, ns. Canada.

Tried to find a similar effect here without finding one, so i had to make it myself. It was made in an interesting way; i spat in a toilet (and recorded it). Then i added some nice reverb, and viola.

A short loop of rain. The clip was recorded under a leaky, wooden deck so the loop isn't completely perfect, but it's close to seamless.

Water dropping on tile and metal drain randomly, with a distinct rythm that slows down towards the end of the file. Recorded with zoom h4n embedded mics, quickly edited on protools for gain, noise reduction and artifact removal. Still a little noisy, though.

Using a contact mic placed onto the lid of a large plastic trash container to record the rain as it hits the lid. 96khz 24bit/mcontact mic.

The recording is slightly edited to prevent it from being too long. The recorder was placed under a picnic area roof, so the water is dripping from that. I think you can almost hear the storm passing from approximately right to left. Recorded using a (slightly wet) zoom h2 in 4 channel surround mode. Autumn forest wind. Heavy, fast gusty in tall pine trees. Some birds and raindrops. Soundscapes of natural white noise of moderate intensity. Some are stagnant or static and with few birds. The presents of the colourful red and yellow dry leaves that is still on the trees, creates the noise of the wind with rustling whispers. Is a constantly form of natural white noise that is always changing and evolving. These recordings is from my third attempt. I think it is very difficult to record the “spirit” and unique sound of the wind. This is pure natural wind sounds (no layering, no post-processing, no synthesizers). Originally recorded at 24 bit sony dat tcd-d7 on a sony ecm-909 microphone. Recorded in sweden september of 2007 in a wet cold beautiful colourful forest, with all kind of trees, far away from any traffic or human sounds.
