Dont ask why this is named like that lol, made using a lot of layers but the fundamental of the snare is synthesized, distorted the first miliseconds of the sample to make an snappy transient and make it cut throught the mix. For the process i used analog modelled plugins such as exciters, tube saturators, preamps, coloring eqs, and compressors alongside with some digital modelled plugins such as camelcrusher, transient shaper and sliceeq both by kilohearts, the compressor mjucjr ny klanghelm to amplify the waveform of the sample and finally a clipshifter plugin, which i love it, to limit the snare aggresively.

This is an attempt to recreate the sound of a gunshot. At a distant and medium distance. The sound consists of two layers. In the synthesis, white noise with different filtering by layers was used. Reverb was not used. The final processing is equalization and a bit of overdrive.

Mascletà (rythmical composition of firecrackers blasts typical of valencia) recorded at 1000m distance from a roof-top terrace. The firecrackers blasts create a war-like ambience, with the sounds of the city mixed with the distant shots. Recorded with head-worn binaural soundman okm microphones. Some distortion due to the wind.

Several shots on metal pipes with my softair-gun. You can hear the small plastic balls falling to the ground, too.

Firing a rifle outdoors.

Just a mixture of multiple samples i created over time. Layering a swish noise which was basically a white noise sample with an eq envelope, lowpassed snare, and a not-so-highpassed clap, compressed and saturated. Enjoy!.

My friend made a rocket out of pvc and a liter soda bottle. This is the sound it made when he shot it off. No need to give credit.

Files labeled "ms" correspond to mid/side recordings. This allows for adjustment and separation of the stereo image. To makes the most of these samples, i suggest you do, or the stereoness could sound exaggerated.
