I washed up some glasses and found them making a loud dripping noise when left on to dry. The water was dripping off the glass onto the corrugated drying side and forming a little wall with each drip, each time there as a drip the wall broke transferred the vibration on to the resonating tumbler.

This sound is a low pitched sound, and a very rumbly type of sound too. The laundry machine also gives out a fast pace moving sound, kind of like a rotating drum sound.

Pressure with the foot of a lever that presses a bottle with disinfectant gel.

A towel heavily soaked in water being wrung out into the river. Irritatingly there's a hint of birdsong in the background. Recorded using a sony pcm m10, as part of an evocation of laundry activity in rural india.

Recorded in the basement washing area. Careful there is a loud bang in there near the end. I subdue a bit the volume but still warning.

Operating my washing machine (front loader, brand: indesit). This reflect the full circle of a washing process from turning the control knob to the typical “clack” when the machine is finished and the look is once again released. All the intermediate steps like washing, spinning and so on, are shorten in time (otherwise this would be a 50min sound clip). But you can loop all those sounds very well. The buzzer sound from a carwash as one cycle ends and another begins, prompting the driver to move the vehicle forward. Basically the standard buzzer you hear in moves or factory settings when something has gone wrong or a sensor has been violated.
