Recorded this on my tascam dr60d using my rode ntg2 shotgun mic. Just me walking through some snow we got yesterday.

Man walking on the street, there are no too many cars. Is a country road and sometimes is possible hear some birds.

A very peaceful, melancholy soundscape i recorded on labor day weekend in some woods, about 20 feet from a popular lake in the midwest. There was a small cove in between my setup and several campers across the way. . . They undoubtedly were enjoying one last time with nature starting to change from summer to autumn. The main sound is that of insects, not sure what the species is, but, they have a beautiful, drowsy "tick-tick-tick" sound that repeats. . . To me, this sound signals the very subtle, almost imperceptible march towards the autumn equinox. I swear, the longer you listen to this captivating insect, you're drawn into, almost like a hypnosis state of reflection. . . A couple things to listen for:(1) around 1:13 a very low splash. (2) at 1:38 a lone goose honks. (3) starting at 2:30 some very low volume, muted camper conversations. (4) at 2:36 a louder splash. (5) 2:41 more beautiful, un-hurried muted camper conversations. No doubt talking about how they need to break camp and return to the real world, but the "tick-tick-tick" of the insects have a strong hold on them. No, stay a little while longer; have another cup of coffee, talk about your accomplishments over the past summer,. This was recorded around 10am on sunday morning, september 6th, 2020 in illinois. This was recorded in the spring of 2018 in a back garden (yard) on a zoom h1. Please tag your link if you use this sound.

Walking from the beginning of the warmoesstraat (amsterdam, the netherlands) to the end of it (dam square). Recorded: april 25th 2017, around 4. 30 pm, with a zoom h1 handy recorder, mp3 320 kbps stereo. Just a little volume normalization and smooth fade-in and fade-out.

I had a walk outside at night to get as less unwanted noises as possible for clean footsteps, but i denoised it a little. Recorded with the uni mic from the tascam dr-100 mkiii. Comments and ratings welcome :).

I recorded this while searching for farm sounds. On the recording you can hear footsteps in the grass, then the opening of the latch in the gate to the field and then further steps. This short recording was made during a sound search in the scotish border area of scotland. I recorded on the zoom h5 handy recorder, i used superlux headphones. There's a tv tuned to japanese programming behind the counter. In a nearby aisle, a radio plays pop music. A freezer hums loudly.

A second attempt at recording the deep mud i keep finding myself walking through each morning on walthamstow marshes. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics (connected to a bent wire clothes hanger and positioned about 30cm above my feet). Processing: normalize -1. 0db, low cut filter 100hz, minor noise reduction to reduce background traffic/train noise. I do not require any credit or attribution.
