White noise fades in to climax with slight reverb at end. Atmospheric - an unsettling transition or sudden ending. Generated with audacity on a mac - 16-bit wav. I made this from scratch very quickly (after hours of searching for just the right sound!).

Rain: thunder, drops, droplets, roof, light rain. Sounded recorded with zoom h4n, in a suburb of keszthely (hungary). Cut into loop. Converted to flac(audacity; level 8).

Sound effect recorded for animation, i think i recorded it with a cheese-knife.

Deep and dark sci-fi background noise that could fit a movie space ship, e. G. In the warp drive chamber. The actual sound source is a gas stove that has been recorded using a fostex fr2 recorder and a pair of røde nt5 mics in x/y positioning. The original 24/88. 2 recording has been slowed down 99% using audacity. Some echo added.

The result of a preset made a long time ago in logic pro's sculpture pm synth. This pack contains a few varied samples of the preset.

Short brushes with my hand on small rocks. Recording in the city is hard but i found a small canyon made of rocks in a park which helped block out traffic noise. This is a very short excerpt of carnatic music. This sound is basically used for a demonstration of the importance of loudness and timbre in melody. A synthesized melody sound and a monotonized version of that sound will be soon linked here in the description.

All my sounds were created for an upcoming motioncomic i created called: madagascar: alex's story. . . I did not create these from scratch, but instead, remixed stock sounds of different roars, growls, breathing, etc. And fiddled with their settings until i got a sound i felt satisfied with. Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to c9 with a short sustain. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. Minimal post processing on these. Just enough to get them roughly even in terms of overall volume.

Recorded sand on a large piece of paper being dragged across a rubberized dance floor (marley). Space had a twenty foot ceiling. Recorded with a tascam im2 stereo condenser microphone and ipod touch. This version has shorter, tugging drags.
