A strong rainshower hitting an awning, with the gentle "shhhhhh. . . . " of the rain falling on the new, fresh green, pliable leaves of a sugar maple. Some good thunder as well in this recording. Recording made in april of 2017 at 6:00pm in the midwest. Gear used: sound devices 702 with audio technica bp4025 stereo microphone. Enjoy.

Quiet wind noise with a slight delay.

Simple type of chord progression, low gain type of distortion with a mild flange effect. Probably good for a break or intro but could be used for more if broken up. Changes tempo and tone near the end into something completely different.

Recorded on 23rd july 2013 with an olympus ls-10. This was about 04:30 in the morning and has been edited with audacity (two takes have been put together). The location is essex, uk.

Early morning, crossing the bay of biscay in a force ten gale, the whole cabin (high up in the ship) creates a symphony of sounds. Engine noise in the background, plus a cacophony of different stresses on the woodwork and fittings of the cabin.

Ambient digital sounds with pads, bass, clock ticking, like in a time machine. Please reference to my music if a sound is integrated in your project.

Birds recorded from about 0430 in the morning. They include geese and gulls. This was a windy day. Some of the wind noise has been reduced, but it can clearly be heard. A pair of lom usi microphones were placed in a tree and attached to an olympus ls-14. Edited with ardour.

Downpour of rain during the monsoon season in phoenix, arizona. Rain hitting blacktop. Nearly a minute in length and you can hear the rain begin to slacken a little ways into the recording. Recorded with the only thing i had on hand, my phone; an lg v30.

I recorded some light rain on my porch - a lot of rain and bird noises. Can briefly hear neighbours in the distance.

Rain sounds from outside the house.

Big lightning happening in my hometown the evening of may 24th 2020. Went outside with a tascam dr-05 handheld recorded to try and get some thunderclaps, but unfortunately the rain and lightning were more prevalent than the thunder. Here and there i comment to myself about a particularly big flash, hoping it results in a big boom, but there aren't as many booms as i was hoping to capture in the time i had the recorder switched on.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Rain gently falling in the woods, recorded 2017 oct 19, fitzwilliam, new hampshire, usa, with a tascam dr-40's built-in mics. Increases and decreases in intensity. Can be looped. I have not altered or colored the sound in any way, leaving that to anyone who cares to use it.

Finally rain after a hot dry july 2018. 10 mins rain with 3 large thunder claps. Not recorded as loud as i should have, it was dark. I used an h4n through an open window.

Also used a few patches from a symsynth to build the thunderclap and some of the rain effects. Added some delays, reverb, compression and eq as well as splitting several tracks and offsetting them to create a spacial soundscape.
