One of autumn's most signature sounds is that of dry leaves skittering and tumbling as they ride along on a hard surface. In this case, the hard surface is asphalt. Hardly any other sound, just the strong autumn wind, and bunches of dried out sweet gum, maple and oak leaves racing across an asphalt parking lot. Think of it, also, as the sound from our youth, our careful youth when everything was achievable. At least for me, this brings me back to my happy place. There i was late a night. I was turning my computer off after editing my site. I was silenced by night. But there was a storm a brewin' i opened my bedroom window and put my ear to the icy wind. I knew then this wasn't the usual mellow wind. I ran down the stair with my zoom h4n equipped, went through the garage into the black of night. I sent my gain levels to 60 and with only a foam wind shield i put it between to to boards of wood to act as a wind shield thus allowing my to capture the wind slicing through the trees. With only adjusting the gain levels slightly in post nothing else been done, allow you to add you own effect on it.
