Wrote/recorded a free chill tune that used the chimes at 120bpm using ableton live 9 stock plugins:chimes and bowlight and shadow. Just makes your ears hurt, doesn't it? could be great for something like a machine having a complete meltdown, or a robot going haywire. Created by taking a stock sound effect of guitar plugs being pulled and distorting, reversing, stretching, looping, adding phaser, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, i can't even remember what else, like there's no tomorrow. All done in wavepad. I also tried to make it loop, but it's up to you whether i succeeded or not.

I recorded my voice while watching and listening to sad stuff to force real crying out of me. This way i can have real crying clips for stock instead of trying to fake it. I am honestly surprised that i wasn't crying harder. I think i was trying to hold myself back for fear a neighbor would think something was actually wrong. Oh, and i know my crying is ugly, please don't make fun of it.

A peculiar local brand of fruit juice sold in small plastic bags with a straw will sometimes vibrate violently when sipped, producing this deep groaning sound. I've yet to discover what exactly causes this to happen. When trying to record it i experimented with straw positioning, sipping strength, holding angle of the pack, and couldn't get it to consistently rumble. This may be a marketing conspiracy to get audio people to stock up on juice to master how to perform the packaging. Recorded with sony pcm-d100, edited and denoised in izotope rx 7.

A pair of owls stationed themselves outside my half-basement bedroom window in colorado early this morning around 12am. Unfortunately i only had my phone to capture them with, but it still turned out alright, save for the periodic vox-like breaks when silencing background noise. The hoot is obvious as to the source, but i'm unsure about the screech/cry that occurs with equal frequency. Is it the response of a mate? or just the yip of a curious neighbor dog?. Recorded with the stock application on my lg g3 phone and encoded to mp3 using the "video to mp3" app.
