Cricket ambience, recorded on a humid evening in the summer of 2011. Some gentle wind noise through the trees is also audible, as are some distant motorcycles and an airplane flying overhead.

Some birds recorded in stereo in the woods near my house. It is some low frequent sounds in background but you can just send it through an equalizer with a highpass-filter and then get rid of it.

This was created with paul's extreme sound stretch program, my voice, and audacity. I whispered a couple of times into the microphone and slowed it down a good bit in paul's stretch program. I think the result is pretty creepy! leave a comment and let me know if you plan on using this!. Edit -- 8/23/10 -- whoa, did not know that the file size was so big. Sounds like space ambience/a sci-fi space station. Did this today while messing around in audacity. This sound was created by blowing into a microphone while slowly changing pitches. Afterwards i slowed down the sound, added the baseboost filter, and lowered the pitch of the sound. Feel free to use this with or without giving credit to me, i really don't care. It literally took me 2 minutes to make.

It is recorded in the hallway of practice rooms in mib. We can hear the sound of cello and flute.

Pretty much i recorded this outside of my house in michigan. I recorded 4 seconds and copy and paste, so it is about 8 seconds. The first section is played normally then i copied it and made it play reversed. This sound is loopable and free to use.

Various kitchen noises. I recorded this while making foley for a film recently. It's intentionally roomy and captured from medium distance which was the position of the listener. There's no significant background roomtone (no traffic, fridge hum or voices), just the exagerated cutlery movements, glasses and cups clingings, water sink, cabinets, fridge door and stuff.
